I have learned that the one leaning towards divorce is often dealing with conflicts with their spouse that have never been resolved. They have experienced unhappiness with their spouse for longer than they can tolerate.

I have learned that the person wanting to preserve the marriage is often dealing with despair about their marital relationship and fear about the future. Their dreams of having a harmonious family life look to be dashed and they don't know what to do.

I have been working with couples since 2012.
