I have learned that the one leaning towards divorce is often dealing with overwhelm, guilt, and isolation—quietly carrying the weight of an impossible decision. They’re often stuck between hope and resignation, unsure if real change is possible or if it’s already too late.
I have learned that the person wanting to preserve the marriage is often dealing with panic, fear, and a deep sense of rejection. They're often trying to fix things quickly, walking on eggshells, and carrying the pressure to save the relationship alone—while feeling powerless to truly reach their partner.
I have been working with couples since 2010.
